Naked woman tells police no clothes is a ‘lifestyle choice’ as she gets arrested

 A woman told police being naked is a “lifestyle choice” as she was arrested for wandering the streets in her birthday suit.

The woman, identified as Jayme Graney, was spotted by a security guard walking around a hotel parking lot and allegedly “knocking on customer’s doors” in Edmond, Oklahoma, US.

Police were called and footage has since emerged showing officers asking why she was wearing no clothes.

“Because I chose not to,” she simply replies in the video.

A bystander offers to cover up her with his shirt but the woman refuses, adding: “I don’t want to take your shirt.”

Graney says she “doesn’t really care” that people are filming her. She then admits to taking Xanax but says the drugs are not to blame for her lack of clothes.

EDMOND, Okla. - A woman was arrested after she was found wandering around naked outside an Edmond hotel.

According to reports, she told officers being naked was a lifestyle choice.

While the woman, identified as Jayme Graney, admitted to using drugs, she insisted her drug use had nothing to do with her being naked. She was spotted by a security guard who called 911.

911 caller: “I've got a naked woman standing here in my parking lot going around knocking on customers' doors, trying to get into their rooms.”

911 caller: “You take off running I’m going to chase you down and I’m going to sit on you.”

Despite her attempts to leave, Graney was right where the caller said she would be when officers arrived.

Police: What's going on tonight?

Police: So, how come you don't have clothes on right now?          

Graney: Because I chose to not.  

Police: Because you chose not to wear clothes?     

Despite bystanders offering to clothe her, the woman refused.   

  Police: Do you know her?     

Man: I've seen her around.    

Graney: I don't want to take your shirt.    

Police: She doesn't want your shirt.     

 Police: Thank you for trying. 

Man: Yeah, I was just trying to help.      

Police: So, you don't want to take his shirt?          

Graney told police she wanted to be naked and didn't care who saw.

Police: I'm going to put you back in my patrol car because people are filming you. Do you understand that people are filming you?     

Graney: I don't really care.

After admitting to taking Xanax, Graney said the drugs weren't to blame for her lack of clothes.

Graney: It's not about that. It's seriously a lifestyle. It doesn't have anything to do with drugs. It's not because of drugs, but a lifestyle. 

Police: To be unclothed? Is that what you're saying? It's more of a lifestyle than a drug thing? Is that what you're saying?     

Graney: Yes. 

Police: Okay, I'm just making sure I'm understanding you.            

Graney was arrested for indecent exposure and public intoxication.
